The powers of the Kyrgyz President passed to the country’s new Prime Minister, Sadyr Japarov. By decision of the parliament, the state of emergency was lifted in Bishkek.

This is reported by Kaktus.media.

Zhaparov believes that the government has changed peacefully and legally. Deputy Omurbek Tekebaev also reported that power had passed to Khaparov.

“The powers of the president of Kyrgyzstan are transferred to Prime Minister Sadyr Khaparov. There has never been anything like this in the history of the country where the power of the president, the prime minister and the parliament was in the hands of a single person,” Tekebaev said.

Furthermore, at a meeting of parliament, the decision was made to lift the state of emergency in Bishkek.

We will remember, yesterday, the President of Kyrgyzstan, Sooronbai Jeenbekov, resigned due to the massive protests in the country.

In addition, the mayor of Bishkek, the president of the Issyk-Kul, Naryn and Talas regions and other officials resigned earlier.

Note that the protests started in the country after the parliamentary elections. The protesters disagreed with the results and demanded re-election. In this regard, the Kyrgyz CEC did not recognize and appoint new ones.
