The Interior Ministry claims that the materials on the involvement of Belarus’ top leaders in the elimination of political opponents, in particular the journalist Pavel Sheremet, which appeared on the Internet, correspond to the current version of the investigation. Therefore, they will not influence the case of the rock musician and military Andrei Antonenko (Riffmaster), the child surgeon and volunteer Yulia Kuzmenko (“Fox”) and the military nurse Yana Dugar.
This was announced to BBC News Ukraine by the representative of the Ministry of the Interior, Artem Shevchenko.
“The indictment clearly states that his actions were caused by other unidentified persons. Directly for consideration in court (Antonenko, Kuzmenko and Dugar cases – ed.), This is unlikely to affect, because the accused is accused of participation in the execution of this crime. ” , – said Shevchenko.
It claims that the information contained in the “Belarusian records” simply “confirms the main version of the investigation that our defendants did not act independently, but carried out a certain criminal scheme of certain unidentified persons.”
At the same time, Artem Shevchenko expressed hope that the new information could help find the hitherto unidentified clients and organizers of the murder.
