The second wave of coronavirus has started in the Czech Republic. Within 2-3 weeks in the Czech Republic expect a number of hospitalized, which was in the spring.

This was stated by the government spokesman in the field of health Roman Primula, reports Ceskenoviny.cz.

The Czech Republic is now in third place in the European Union in terms of the increase in the incidence of coronavirus. On Saturday, September 12, 1,541 new cases of the disease were registered in the Czech Republic. In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, 13,7 thousand people have fallen ill. Now there are 297 hospitalized patients, 69 are in serious condition.

According to the expert, if the virus continues to spread at the same rate as now, at the end of October, Czech hospitals will be overwhelmed with COVID-19 patients.

“In the Czech Republic, the second wave of the coronavirus epidemic,” Primula said.

Recall that the Austrian government also announced the second wave of coronavirus, 869 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed there from Friday to Saturday. At the same time, the country’s population is 9 million people.

Furthermore, RBC-Ukraine wrote that Armenia extended the quarantine due to the coronavirus until January 2021.
