In annexed Crimea, the Yalta sanatorium of the Russian Defense Ministry caught fire. As a result of the incident, no one was injured, 300 people were evacuated.
On Wednesday October 7, RIA Novosti reported this with reference to the Russian Emergency Ministry.
According to rescuers, at 06:15 a message was received about a fire at a recreational facility in Yalta, at 12 Sevastopolskaya.
“Upon reaching the place of the call, it was discovered that the cladding between the eighth floor and the ceiling in the Yalta Ministry of Defense sanatorium building in an area of about 1,000 square meters was on fire. The fire was assigned a second number of complexity, “the ministry said in a statement.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations emphasized that 300 people were evacuated from the place, there were no victims.
“43 people and 13 teams are involved in extinguishing the fire. More information is being specified,” added representatives from the department.
According to preliminary data from the Southern Military District of the RF Ministry of Defense, the fire in the Yalta sanatorium occurred as a result of a short circuit in the electrical wiring.
