The Su-30 fighter that crashed in the Tver region on Tuesday, according to preliminary data, was accidentally shot down by another plane during an exercise. On Wednesday, September 23, TASS reports with reference to a source in the emergency services of the region.

“Preliminarily, the cause of the emergency is the accidental impact of a projectile on the Su-30 during an exercise. The shot was fired by another aircraft,” said the source.

The day before it emerged that during a planned training flight in the Tver region, a 4+ generation Su-30 multipurpose double fighter crashed. The crew was safely ejected.

Recall that at the end of March, a Russian Su-27 fighter crashed in the Black Sea. The aircraft disappeared from the screens of the target control teams 50 kilometers from Feodosia. The pilot was never found.
