The State Bureau of Investigation reported that all subpoenas of people for questioning were canceled due to the COVID-19 coronavirus infection pandemic.
On November 19, the State Investigation Office denied information about the summons of Maidan’s participants for questioning, the department’s press service reported.
“On the eve of the Day of Dignity and Freedom, inaccurate information is disseminated in the media about the call for participants in the Dignity Revolution for political reasons to be questioned at the State Security Office,” the message says.
The RRB said that all subpoenas of people for questioning at the RRB were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and they were notified immediately.
“The confirmation of the manipulation of the timing of these calls to the Day of Dignity and Freedom is that the interrogations were canceled two weeks ago, but the witnesses only now declare the fact of the calls,” said the press service.
The State Office noted that criminal proceedings under art. 109 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (actions aimed at changing or repealing by force the constitutional order or seizing power of the State) was registered by the Office of the Attorney General in compliance with a judicial decision. Pre-trial investigation, in accordance with art. 214 of the Code of Criminal Procedure of Ukraine, entrusted to the SDB.

According to her, Former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchinov, former President of Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy, Mayor of Kiev Vitaly Klichko, former People’s Vice President Sergei Pashinsky, former Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and former People’s Vice President Tatiana Chernovol are summoned for questioning. Koshkina pointed out that this is only part of the names of those who were summoned.
Turchinov, Klitschko and Chornovil confirmed the information that they received a summons for questioning at the RRT.
Parubiy said he had received a subpoena about the events that occurred at the Maidan in 2013-2014, but “does not remember” that there was talk of a “coup.” The former lecturer was supposed to be questioned on November 23, but was postponed. Parubiy reported today that he contracted a coronavirus infection and went into self-isolation.
