Former PFL President Sergei Makarov spoke about the resumption of the First League last season and the influence of Shakhtar and Dynamo in this decision.
– Why exactly at the Olimpiyskiy conference, where Pavelko was present, did you manage to put everything in its place?
– In my opinion, the position of Shakhtar and Dynamo was the most influential. That is, when it became known about this position of the leaders of the Premier League, the point of view of some clubs in the first league changed. And we got the majority for the reboot.
– We know most of them. But we don’t know what happened before the vote. Why were journalists not allowed to attend the conference?
– Let’s not forget the quarantine. That day, there were again statements about tightening the quarantine, bad statistics. And the NSC Olimpiyskiy is a state structure. We were warned that up to 50 people can be present.

– No. At first, we planned to have journalists. But then the NSC leadership asked us to limit the number of people. Then the question arose of admitting journalists. It was decided to hold an information session after the event and not let journalists enter the stadium bowl.
– The Federation had nothing to do with this decision?
– Let’s skip this question. This was our decision.
