Just over a third of Ukrainians attended polling stations, a record low result.

Turnout in the local elections held the day before was a record low of 37%. Sociologists from the Rating group cited the main reasons for the mass non-appearance of Ukrainians in polling stations.

During the survey it was learned that 20% of voters did not come for health reasons, 19% could not vote because they were registered, 15% were busy, 14% did not know who to vote for, 12% of respondents said that the elections did not interest them, 10% refused to vote due to the pandemic.

At the same time, if there was an opportunity to vote electronically, from home, then 46% of those who did not vote would vote today, 13% – 50/50, 14% – perhaps 25% – would not vote.

63% of the citizens who did not attend the elections responded that they were disappointed with the situation in the country, while 32%, on the contrary, felt hopeful.

It should be noted that the Voters Committee of Ukraine declared that the results of local elections cannot be questioned and that the vote itself will be recognized as valid, despite the low turnout.
