The TEB and the Emergency Commission in an extraordinary meeting decided to tighten the quarantine in Kiev.
“Since March 20, Kiev has introduced strict quarantine restrictions,” Klitschko said.
Enter such restrictions:
- closing cinemas, theaters, museums, concert halls, shopping and entertainment centers,
- it is forbidden to carry out massive events,
- cafes and restaurants will work exclusively for take away food,
- religious services are prohibited (if the area of the premises is not less than 10 square meters for 1 person),
- Spectators at sporting events will also be prohibited.
- gas stations will work without cafeterias,
- Hairdressing salons, beauty salons, fitness and gyms will work by appointment,
- all companies and organizations in the public sector are switching to telecommuting.
These restrictions are imposed for three weeks.
Earlier, the secretary of the Kiev City Council, Volodymyr Bondarenko, said in a comment to RBC-Ukraine that the situation in Kiev is very difficult. There are more than 3.5 thousand people in hospitals, of which 71% are in serious condition, he said.
In particular, we note that 1,092 new cases of COVID-19 infection were detected in the capital during the last day. In addition, during the last day, the country revealed the maximum number of new coronavirus cases since the beginning of the year: 15,053.
For several weeks, Kiev has been one of the leading regions among the regions with the highest number of new infections.
Due to the situation with COVID, spring break in the city started earlier. The children went on vacation on March 18.
