The summons of the President of the Constitutional Court, Alexander Tupitsky, to the Attorney General’s Office is justified and the released films justify his dismissal.

This was stated by the presidential representative in the Constitutional Court Fedor Venislavsky.

It also pointed out that the tapes published in the media with the participation of the president of the Constitutional Court were legally recorded and at least questioned his right to continue working in the Constitutional Court.

Fyodor Venislavsky is convinced that the head of the KSU was summoned on December 28 to the Attorney General’s Office to surrender suspicions about the recordings in which the judge discusses how he will actually hinder the investigation and the activities of the court.

“According to the information I have, the tapes that were recorded as part of the pre-trial investigation are legal and with all the necessary permits. That is, the court allowed covert surveillance and the removal of information. Mr. Tupitsky was summoned to announce the suspicion, “the president’s spokesman said.

According to him, the case was initiated under two articles: 384 (misleading the court or other authorized body) and 386 (preventing the appearance of a witness, victim, expert, forcing them to refuse to give testimony or opinion) of the Penal Code.

“The premiere of the film, in which the head of the Constitutional Court, Tupitsky, appears, already testifies that it does not meet the criteria of a Constitutional Court judge, which are enshrined in the Constitution. They are high moral qualities, which in this case do not exist, and professionalism, which is also in doubt. I believe that this fact is enough for the judges of the Constitutional Court, at least in a meeting, an extraordinary session, to consider the question of whether Judge Tupitsky can be a judge of the Constitutional Court ”, he summarized.

We will remember, today it became known that the president of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, Alexander Tupitsky, wants to surrender suspicions. For this, he is summoned to the Attorney General’s Office, and we are talking about a criminal case that was opened in 2013.
