Gas prices stopped their rapid growth
NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine has announced the wholesale price of natural gas for heat producers to whom the state-owned company supplies gas under special responsibilities (PSO). In November, the price of gas will amount to 5,375,370 UAH per 1,000 cubic meters (excluding VAT and transport), which is practically no different from the October price (5,374.10 UAH).
This was reported on the NAC website.
The press service of Naftogaz noted that the price of gas for heat producers is calculated in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of October 19, 2018 No. 867, taking into account changes in quotations (prices ) at European gas centers.
“A relatively warm winter and low demand for natural gas in Europe keep gas prices at the October level,” the NJSC said in a statement.
As a reminder, the government decree on the imposition of special obligations in the gas market (PSO) to Naftogaz as of August 1, 2020, ceased to operate in terms of gas supply for the needs of the population.
At the same time, in accordance with the government decision, Naftogaz is supplying natural gas to heat producers that are subject to the CA before May 1, 2021 and has entered into relevant contracts for the supply of natural gas.
As RBC-Ukraine reported, in November, Naftogaz from Ukraine increased gas prices for heat producers by 24.4% to 5,374.10 UAH per 1,000 cubic meters (excluding VAT and transport).
