The laws were started by the president

Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the laws passed by Verkhovna Rada, which should financially support citizens and businesses in case of COVID-19 quarantine.

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed laws guaranteeing support for Ukrainian citizens and Ukrainian businesses during the quarantine period, according to the Office of the President of Ukraine.

Legislative initiatives were adopted by Verkhovna Rada on December 4.

Therefore, the law now provides for the provision of a one-time financial assistance in the amount of eight thousand UAH to employees who have lost part of their wages due to the introduction of quarantine due to the spread of the coronavirus, and to individual entrepreneurs (FOP), which also lost part of their income due to restrictions.

In addition, financial assistance is provided for companies to pay contract workers, so as not to reduce them during the quarantine period. The amount of aid cannot exceed eight thousand hryvnias.

In addition, the law guarantees a one-time compensation to business entities in order to reimburse costs incurred to pay a one-time contribution (URE) for mandatory state social insurance.

The president also signed a law that provides for a series of tax incentives for citizens and small and medium-sized businesses during the quarantine. For example, taxpayers can write off a tax debt if it does not exceed 3,060 UAH.

Taxpayers of the unified tax of the first group are exempt from paying this tax for December 2020 and January-May 2021.

In addition, until December 29, 2021, the repayment of the tax debt of individuals, including self-employed Ukrainians, has been postponed if it does not exceed 6,800 UAH.

Recall that Zelensky recorded a video message in which he assured Ukrainians that the government would not announce a shutdown in December. The authorities decided to give companies the opportunity to work and “not spoil the holidays.”

We will also add that Zelensky clarified which of the private entrepreneurs will not receive 8 thousand.
