A popular vote on local election day on October 25 cannot be a rehearsal for a referendum. And its funding will not come from public funds.
This was stated in a briefing by Verkhovna Rada spokesman Dmitry Razumkov.
According to him, today the Rada does not provide additional funds for the ballot box, since there were no laws that allowed its implementation with the participation of the Central Electoral Commission.
“This can happen outside the boundaries of the electoral college, like any other initiative … like an exit poll,” Razumkov said.
