Representatives of the Ukrainian political forces, who are involved in the signing of the Minsk accords, promise to do what they have not done for five years, the head of the Ukrainian delegation told the trilateral contact group Leonid Kravchuk.
In Ukraine, the political forces that have signed the unfavorable Minsk accords are positioning themselves as patriots. This opinion was expressed by the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) Leonid Kravchuk to Radio Svoboda in an interview that was published on September 20.
“Today in Ukraine there is such a situation that some political forces that have just signed these Minsk agreements and signed them in such a way that we cannot fulfill them, and they have done things there that will have to be raked for a long, long and long time, now they They have the teachers, who are the only patriots, they tear off their shirts, all the other enemies, they appropriated the role of great patriots of Ukraine, they appropriated, privatized and everywhere they say: “We will do this, give us power again” , said.
The head of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG cited Kiev as an example.
“Look at Kiev, there are already portraits on all the streets,” we have to take power “,” we will make Kiev a European capital “, etc. Well, why didn’t you do that five years ago? Who stopped you? you learned, then I do not ask them this question, they say: “Then Russia intervened.”, – said Kravchuk.
According to him, this is no longer politics, but conversations in the kitchen.
“I do not perceive such a policy. I did not do it, I must say that I did not do it because I could not do it, or something was not enough, or I could not, tell me and do not make any more mistakes,” Kravchuk explained.
Earlier, he stated that in the talks in Minsk, Russian President Vladimir Putin “surpassed” Ukraine.
In 2014, immediately after the annexation of Crimea, Russia launched an armed aggression in eastern Ukraine. The fighting is between the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on the one hand, and the Russian army and the Russian-backed militants who control parts of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, on the other. The Russian Federation does not officially recognize its invasion of Ukraine, despite the facts and evidence presented by Ukraine.
Negotiations on the resolution of the conflict are taking place within the framework of the trilateral contact group in Minsk (Ukraine – OSCE – Russia) and the Normandy Four (Ukraine – Germany – France – Russia).
On September 5, 2014, TCG approved 12 clauses of the Minsk agreements.
On February 12, 2015, the second Minsk agreements were signed with the mediation of Germany and France. They provide for a ceasefire, the withdrawal of heavy weapons, the monitoring of international observers, the holding of local elections in accordance with Ukrainian law, amnesty for the parties to the conflict, the release and exchange of prisoners, access to humanitarian missions to help those in need, the return of control of the border with Ukraine and the constitutional reform in Ukraine. in terms of decentralization.
On the Ukrainian side, the document was approved by the fifth president of the country, today a popular deputy of the “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko.
