The head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Aleksey Kucher said that shortly before the An-26 disaster, the plane with the son of the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Sergei Drozdov received a priority landing near Chuguev , although it was already known about the malfunction of the board with the cadets.
The governor said this on October 2, first in a video message posted on Facebook, and then on air from Savik Shuster’s Freedom of Expression program.
The video message that Kucher addressed to Air Force Command spokesman Yuri Agnat. According to the head of the Regional State Administration, the landing of the An-26 with cadets on board was delayed because another plate entered at that time. And it was hidden in the last days.
He added that this information is known to him as an official who was one of the first to be at the scene of the tragedy and, together with the heads of other services, led the rescue efforts at the operational headquarters. He is also a member of the government commission to investigate the accident.

Sergei Drozdov was present in Shuster’s studio together with Kucher. The governor reiterated his information about the incident with the landing of the plane in which the soldier’s son was flying.

You confirmed this, I never allowed myself to publicly express this story for this conversation, although I knew everything. At the same time, it was known upon landing of the first side that the second was out of commission, “said Kucher.
In response, Drozdov said that, like all parents, when he received the information that the plane had crashed, he was in shock for 20 minutes. And then he asked, “if a person does not understand the procedure for conducting flights, the organization, do not draw hasty conclusions.”
