Hungary resorted to direct campaigning for one of the Ukrainian political forces.
The Hungarian Party of Ukraine crossed the 5% threshold and became a member of the Uzhgorod city council.
The Hungarian Party of Ukraine, the political force for which Hungary’s Foreign Minister Peter Siyjarto campaigned, on the day of the vote in local elections, passes the Uzhgorod city council with 5.35% of the votes. This is evidenced by the exit poll data of the Ukraine 24 television channel, published on Sunday, October 25.
So, according to the study, seven parts go to the Uzhgorod City Hall:
-
Servant of the people – 18.91%;
-
Batkivshchyna – 12.21%;
-
Native transcarpathia: 8.87%;
-
European solidarity – 7.17%;
-
Opposition platform – For life – 5.88%;
-
Hungarian Party of Ukraine – 5.35;
-
For the future – 5.21.
At the same time, two voting leaders are running for the post of mayor of Uzhgorod: the self-proclaimed candidate Bogdan Andriiv (23.84%) and the “servant of the people” Viktor Shchadey (22.73%). The city will likely host the second round of elections for the head of the city administration.
