The European Solidarity parliamentary faction hopes that at the next special meeting, the Verkhovna Rada will consider, in particular, a draft law on compulsory insurance for doctors working with people infected with coronavirus. This was stated by the popular deputy of “European Solidarity” Irina Gerashchenko.

The popular deputy of European Solidarity, Irina Gerashchenko, on May 5 on her Facebook page stated that 150 signatures had been collected in parliament to convene an extraordinary meeting of the Verkhovna Rada.

“We collected 150 signatures for an extraordinary parliamentary meeting, in which we propose to consider the law on compulsory insurance for physicians working with patients with COVID-19, and the law on mandatory testing of all health workers. It would be appropriate for BP to adopt a statement to this meeting on the 75th anniversary of the victory over fascism, which would clearly highlight the role of Ukraine and the Ukrainians in the fight against totalitarian regimes and would condemn any attempt by the Russian Federation to rewrite world history “Gerashchenko said.

European Solidarity Co-President Petro Poroshenko on freedom of expression on ICTV television clarified that the signatures for an extraordinary parliamentary meeting were put in by deputies from the opposition factions, as well as by deputies of three people from the Servant of the People , reports Interfax-Ukraine.

“We hope that not later than Friday, but rather on Thursday, the president of Verkhovna Rada will convene an extraordinary meeting,” Poroshenko emphasized.

On May 4, the deputy director of the “Servant of the People” faction, Yevgenia Kravchuk, announced that the next extraordinary Rada meeting was scheduled for May 12.

March 16, Verkhovna Rada due to coronavirus epidemic canceled two weeks of plenary sessions and went alone to the extraordinary. These meetings, in particular, were held on March 17, March 30, 13, 16, 24 and April 30.
