Alexey Danilov reacted sharply to Alexander Tupitsky’s statements
Alexey Danilov advised Alexander Tupitsky, along with his lawyer, to think about the line of defense in court.
The President of the Constitutional Court, Oleksandr Tupitsky, must stop blackmailing Ukraine and resign. The head of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC), Alexey Danilov, wrote about this on his Facebook page on Tuesday, November 3.
According to him, Tupitsky’s statements “are surprising due to the insufficient evaluations of the situation and the exaggeration of the importance of his own person.”
“I would like to remind you that the judges, by their decision of October 27, violated a number of fundamental foundations of the constitutional system in Ukraine, having, in fact, carried out an attempt to overthrow the constitutional system and change the political course of the country. “Danilov wrote.
In his opinion, such actions bear signs of a crime.
“Therefore, I advise Mr. Tupitsky not to litter the information space with hysterical statements, but to think about the line of defense in court together with a lawyer,” said the head of the NSDC.
Danilov recalled that President Volodymyr Zelensky, as guarantor of the Basic Law, fulfilled his duties by submitting to parliament a bill on restoring public confidence in constitutional procedures. In the event of its adoption, the powers of the current composition of the court cease, but the powers of the CCU itself are not extinguished.
“Finally, I want to urge: stop blackmailing the country. You should not be guided by the principle that the order of national oligarchs and foreign” sponsors “should be worked out in any case. This is a path to the abyss. Rostov is not made of rubber and you will not be able to transport your own wealth across the border. Keep the remains honor and give up, “said Danilov.
He believes that public confidence in the constitutional process will be restored, but that is the task of the new composition of the Constitutional Court.
Earlier Tuesday, the head of the Constitutional Court, Aleksandr Tupitskiy, asked President Volodymyr Zelenskiy to put aside emotions and resolve the constitutional crisis by legal means. According to the head of the KSU, “blood can overwhelm the country.”
Also today, the popular deputies called for the resignation of the judges of the Constitutional Court. The corresponding appeal was signed by 150 deputies. However, according to media reports, the judges see no reason for his resignation and do not plan to resign.
