The NBU mentioned the reason for the absence of the IMF tranche

The IMF will not provide Ukraine with the second tranche this year, as Kiev physically does not have time to complete all the necessary procedures. The first deputy director of the National Bank, Ekaterina Rozhkova, stated this in an interview with Ukrainian radio.

According to her, the program itself, in which Ukraine works with the IMF, foresees certain stages. These stages foresee a period in which the IMF assesses how Ukraine has fulfilled its obligations and only after that allocates a certain tranche.

“So the stage that we are getting closer to now is watching the show. Only after it is possible and there will be a stretch. What Timofey (Milovanov – ed.) Said – said that we physically don’t have time to get money on this This is also true, because the Fund has procedures, how long does it take to review, how many documents are prepared, when are they delivered to the board of directors. Only after that are the allocated funds made. Therefore, given that today we are with You guys, it’s almost December 1, and we know that the Christmas holidays in Europe start on December 25, followed by the New Year holidays; physically we do not have time to complete this procedure with the receipt of money this year “, Rozhkova said.

Earlier, the adviser to the head of the Office of the President, Tymofiy Mylovanov, said that this year Ukraine will not receive the tranche from the IMF.

Initially, to allocate two tranches, Kiev had to pass a law on the market for land in banks, but the IMF presented a series of requirements for the second tranche.
