A counterterrorism operation has been announced in Vienna, four attackers have already been arrested. Seven people were killed in the attacks and 15 others were injured.
Several armed attacks occurred simultaneously in the center of the Austrian capital. Unidentified people attacked a synagogue, a restaurant and a Jewish center. This was announced on Monday, November 2 by the Kronen Zeitung newspapers, citing the press service of the Interior Ministry.
According to eyewitnesses, at least 50 shots were fired near the synagogue. Austrian Interior Minister Karl Nehammer called the incident a terrorist attack.
“We have suffered a clear terrorist attack,” he said.
According to preliminary data, seven people became victims of criminals. The man’s shooting, which accidentally caught the criminal’s attention, was filmed on surveillance cameras from the street.
