In addition to the complaint to the Higher Council of Justice, the Ministry of Justice has already filed an appeal against the Vovk ruling.

The Ministry of Justice of Ukraine filed a complaint against the judge of the Kiev Pechersk District Court, Serhiy Vovk, due to the decision to collect around 10 billion hryvnia from the Privatbank in favor of the Surkis brothers without considering the fund of the case. Justice Minister Denis Malyuska wrote about this on Tuesday, September 8, on his Facebook page.

“Judge Vovk, on behalf of Ukraine, basically ruled to steal 10 billion hryvnias. His decision will become the beginning of the reactivation of the judiciary, if it is possible to respond to the sentence appropriately, to the greatest extent of the law”. – Malyuska wrote.

The minister also recalled that a bill blocking the payment of funds has already been registered in parliament.

In a corresponding statement, the companies asked the court to determine the amount that PrivatBank must pay them as part of the fulfillment of the deposit service obligations. According to the plaintiffs, the bank’s liabilities amount to $ 350 million (of which $ 102 million is interest calculated at a rate of 13% per year).
