Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said on Friday, December 11, that repeated cases of coronavirus infection have begun to be recorded in Ukraine.

“We started registering these patients in the Chernivtsi region, and in the Kirovograd region, and in other regions. These are people who got sick for the first time 3 or 5 months ago. And now they are sick for the second time,” he said .

The minister noted that all coronavirus patients are electronically registered.

He also said that there are 27,708 COVID-19 patients in hospitals today.

“We have stabilized the situation a bit with COVID-19 patients, in terms of the number of daily cases. But still, the medical system works quite intensively. About 28 thousand patients are now in hospitals. To be 27,708 patients, who are in our hospitals in the morning. And that is why we are adding hospitals, increasing the number of beds we add to the treatment of patients with COVID-19, “said Stepanov.

He noted that it also takes time to equip hospitals and the emergence of the necessary number of specialists: specialists in infectious diseases, anesthesiologists.

As reported, during the last day in Ukraine, a record number of patients, 285, died from coronavirus.
