The Health Ministry asked Ukrainians to wear masks, disinfect their hands with antiseptics and maintain social distance.
In Ukraine, more than 75 percent of deaths in the COVID-19 coronavirus infection occur in people over the age of 65, Health Minister Maxim Stepanov said, according to the agency’s website on Oct. 18.
The coronavirus disease is not receding, but on the contrary, it is gaining momentum, Stepanov emphasized.
“For this reason, to continue the fight against COVID-19, it is now important that everyone mobilizes and complies with all the anti-epidemic regulations established in the country. This is especially true for people over 65, because 75.7 percent of all deaths are citizens of this particular age group. ” – he declared.
