Coronavirus outbreak to occur in Odessa after City Day
Ignoring anti-epidemic measures in celebration of City Day will lead to an increase in the incidence of the coronavirus, says Stepanov.
Following the celebration of City Day in Odessa, an increase in the number of coronavirus patients is expected. This was stated by the head of the Ministry of Health, Maxim Stepanov, in a briefing on Thursday 3 September.
In the Odessa region, the occupancy of beds in hospitals where patients with coronavirus are treated is 66%, added the minister.
“Yesterday, the photos of the day of the celebration of the Day of the City in Odessa leaked to the network. Well, it seems to me that what we saw is beyond common sense,” Stepanov said.
The minister appealed to the authorities of the city of Odessa.
“I understand that now they are all in the elections. That they all live exclusively from electoral processes. But do you know in what state the epidemiological situation in Odessa is now?”, He emphasized.
Now Stepanov predicts an outbreak of the disease in the region and, in particular, in Odessa.
“It is not necessary to be Vanga to clearly realize that in just a few days, weeks, we will see an even greater increase in the number of COVID-19 patients in the Odessa region and directly in the city of Odessa,” he said the head of the Ministry of Health.
