The Ministry of Health called the condition to tighten the quarantine

Currently, about 52 thousand beds are allocated for patients with coronavirus

New quarantine restrictions will be considered with 15 thousand cases of coronavirus per day.

If 15 thousand new cases of COVID-19 are detected per day, new quarantine restrictions will be introduced in Ukraine. This was announced by the Deputy Minister of Health, the state’s chief medical officer, Viktor Lyashko, as reported by Interfax-Ukraine on Tuesday, October 27.

“There is a figure – 15 thousand patients per day. After that we will talk about our plans for the near future. At the same time, we do not say that tomorrow we will be injecting something. 15 thousand patients per day – this is still there is a safety margin that it will allow the health system to react without collapsing, ”he said.

Lyashko emphasized that this figure (15 thousand cases per day – ed.) Is relevant with a uniform distribution of patients in the country, while for certain regions it may be lower.

“This figure (for each region – ed.) Has been calculated. We are not publishing it now, as we are waiting for November 1, when local subsidies should be used and oxygen supplied to most beds. After that, the health system capacity must change, “he explained. vice Minister.

According to him, around 52 thousand beds are currently allocated for coronavirus patients, of which 17 thousand have oxygen support.

“Due to the increase in the number of patients and the increase in the number of beds, the percentage of oxygen supply delivered is 40% today. We need to double this capacity to prepare the healthcare system for a full response,” Lyashko said.

Recall that in Ukraine, for several days in a row, anti-registrations have been registered due to the daily increase in the number of people infected by coronavirus.

It was previously reported that schoolchildren in the red zone will stay for distance education after the holidays.
