The Ministry of Health begins to deploy a COVID hospital in the Sports Palace of the capital
The main problem does not lie in equipping the mobile hospital, but in increasing the number of medical personnel.
A mobile hospital is being deployed at the Kiev Sports Palace. This was stated in an interview conducted today by the state’s chief medical officer, Viktor Lyashko, on Monday, November 2.
“We already have preliminary estimates that are being finalized. We have compiled the equipment needs, we gave the task to the State Company Medical Contract to analyze the prices there, and we are launching a decree that will allocate funds for this, and we are beginning to deploy a hospital in the Sports Palace, “said Lyashko.
Lyashko also listed the requirements for such hospitals.
“These are hospitals that must be deployed in adapted rooms with heating, ventilation, sanitary conditions. That is to say, these are large areas in which the beds are additionally placed in such a way that there is a large system of blocks where it will be possible to supply oxygen to the bed. places to provide intensive care units, rooms for medical personnel ”, explained the deputy director of the Ministry of Health.
He added that how much equipment is needed for a mobile hospital has already been determined. According to him, the problem is not so much in the provision of equipment as in the provision of medical personnel.
“With the increase in the number of medical beds, the problem of increasing the number of medical personnel will not solve itself, because the doctor is a profession that has been acquired over the years,” Lyashko summarized.
Remember that there are almost two thousand COVID patients in Kiev hospitals. In Kiev, another 507 people fell ill with coronavirus. At the same time, only 12 Kiev residents recovered per day and nine died.
In total, more than 400 thousand have fallen ill with COVID-19 in Ukraine. On the eve of the country revealing 6,754 new cases of contagion, 69 people died. 231,051 people remain active patients.
