The International Monetary Fund has questions about the work of Ukraine’s anti-corruption bodies and is unhappy with the restriction of salaries for members of the Supervisory Councils of companies.

The International Monetary Fund has questions about the work of Ukraine’s anti-corruption bodies and the salaries of members of supervisory boards. However, some problems are being resolved and Ukraine is still waiting for IMF help. This was stated by Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko, the Ministry’s press service reported on Tuesday, October 13.

Marchenko assured that the Ukrainian authorities have fulfilled the task of creating unique legal entities, working with loans that do not work, in the gas market, and in the near future, according to the letter from the NJSC. But, according to the minister, the IMF has doubts about the work of the anti-corruption organizations, about the limitation of the salaries of the supervisory councils. At the same time, Marchenko said that negotiations with the IMF are currently underway and that some problems are being resolved.

“And at this moment, I do not see any problem to say categorically that we are not in the program,” said the head of the Ministry of Finance.

He also noted that by limiting the salaries of members of the Supervisory Council, the Rada adopted a decision that allows the government to independently determine the size of salaries and restrictions.

Earlier, the NBU mentioned the main problems in the negotiations with the IMF. Among them are the deficit in Ukraine’s state budget and anti-corruption policy.

Ukraine was reported to have met one of the IMF’s key requirements: reorganization of customs and taxes.
