The 40% increase in funding for the activities of the Office of the Head of State is explained by the disparity in the salaries of 500 employees.
Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko said that the cost of maintaining the Office of the President in the state budget project for 2021 has increased as there is a disparity in salaries. Marchenko said this on Friday, September 18, at a briefing in the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrinform reports.
“As the Ministry of Finance, when calculating the budget, we see a disparity in salaries in various ministries, the Office of the President, the staff of the Verkhovna Rada, the Cabinet Secretariat. If we decide to increase the salary for the Office of the President, this decision was made because we saw a disproportion. not a political story, there are 500 people who work, “said Marchenko.
He stressed that there is no reason for a “zrada” on this issue.
Recall that the provision of the activities of the head of state and the Office of the President in the draft budget for 2021 increased by almost 40% and amounted to 1 billion 269.1 thousand UAH.
