The minimum pension will increase for pensioners over 65 with a long insurance history
For a part of non-working pensioners, as of January 1, 2021, the minimum old-age pension will increase from 2,000 UAH to 2,400 UAH. This will happen in connection with the increase in the minimum wage from 5000 to 6000 hryvnia.
This was reported by the press service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU).
As noted in the message, for people who have turned 65, if men are 35 years old, women have 30 years of insurance experience, the minimum old-age pension is 40% of the minimum wage.
“Pensions have been recalculated from the day the new minimum wage was established, except for pensioners who work (they carry out activities related to the perception of income, which is the basis for calculating a one-time contribution for the mandatory state social insurance) ”Says the message.
Pensioners who work, after dismissal or cessation of said activities, the pension is recalculated taking into account the minimum wage determined on the date of cessation of work or cessation of said activities, noted in the PFC.
Remember that the law on the state budget for 2021 provides for an increase in the minimum wage from January 1 from 5000 to 6000 hryvnia. Starting December 1, 2021, the minimum wage will increase to 6,500 UAH.
Note that according to the Pension Fund, as of October 1, 2020, the average payment for 11.22 billion pensioners was 3.410.6 UAH.
