The protest march in Minsk will take place along the memory route to the Kurapaty National Necropolis: there was a place of mass executions and burials of those repressed by the NKVD in 1937-1940.

A protest march against terrorism is scheduled for November 1 in Minsk, Belarus. This is reported by the Telegram channel HEXTA Live.

“During the Stalinist terror, funnels drove Belarusians out of their workplaces in the same way, people disappeared without a trace and were later found in prisons. Lukashenka’s terror lives by the same precepts. We must put an end to it. this., – says the message.

The march will begin at 2:00 p.m. Participants will follow the following route: “Park Chelyuskintsev” metro station – Independence Avenue – Kalinovskiy – Karbysheva – Gamarnika – Miroshnichenko – Kurapaty section.

Sunday’s march will end near the Kurapaty national necropolis: there was a site of mass executions and burials of those repressed by the NKVD in 1937-1940.



Special equipment has already been noticed on the streets of Minsk. As TUT.BY writes on Telegram, she was seen on Independence Avenue, Kalinovskiy Street, Partizanskiy Avenue, Pervomayskaya Street, Pobediteley Avenue, next to the stele “Minsk – Hero City” and on the Minsk ring road.

Also, in the Plaza de la Independencia, uniformed people are fixing sections of the fence.



Furthermore, according to TUT.BY, internet problems started in the city on the eve of the protest.



Since August 9, in Belarus, massive protests have continued from those who disagree with the results of the vote in the presidential elections. According to official data, the current president of the country, Alexander Lukashenko, won them with 80.1% of the voters. Second place with 10.1% of the vote was taken by opposition candidate Svetlana Tikhanovskaya. At the same time, alternative exit polls showed the opposite picture: Tikhanovskaya’s confident victory.

The Belarusian security forces violently dispersed the demonstrations using explosions, rubber bullets and water cannons. During the protests, hundreds of protesters were injured and wounded, and more than 14,000 people were arrested. According to official figures, four protesters died.

On October 26, a nationwide strike began in Belarus demanding Lukashenka’s resignation.
