The law on the special status of Donbass will change – Kostin

The leaders of the Normandy Four will be able to solve the problem of the Steinmeier formula, the parliamentarian is sure.

Some articles of the law on the special status of Donbass will be changed, as it will include the Schneimeier formula on a legal basis. This was announced on Thursday, September 17, by the representative of Ukraine in the TCG political subgroup Andriy Kostin on the air of the television channel 1 + 1.

The people’s deputy recalled that the Ukrainian government agreed to introduce this formula into legislation, but the method has not yet been chosen.

“They are negotiating which articles of this law must be changed so that this law, together with the Steinmeier formula included, works from the point of view of the law. This is what we are talking about now,” Kostin said.

In addition, he is confident that the leaders of the Normandy Four will be able to solve the problem of the Steinmeier formula.

“Everyone understands that the Steinmeier formula, its implementation, is incompatible with the procedure for transferring control over the border, which is specified in the Minsk agreements. But this is precisely the negotiating topic to convince and possibly even rise to the level of leaders of the Normandy format. who will be able to solve this problem ”, admitted the deputy.

We will recall, the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the TCG Leonid Kravchuk assured that the Ukrainian authorities have never abandoned the Steinmeier formula. But at the same time, you need to decide how to implement it.
