The Verkhovna Rada finally passed the law on the reorganization of communities and districts. The Cabinet of Ministers explained what changes will take place after the adoption of the document.

This was stated by the Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, Oleksiy Chernyshev, reports the government website.

He drew attention to the fact that, following the formation of a new administrative-territorial base for the activities of the authorities and the holding of local elections in Ukraine, the issue of urgently guaranteeing the legal capacity of local self-government bodies was raised. and state district administrations in new communities and regions.

“The approval of this bill will allow local authorities to fully manage finances, land, resources and solve urgent problems in the life of the communities,” said the minister.

It should be noted that during the consideration of the document in the session room, the popular deputies supported two amendments that were initially not taken into account by the commission. They stipulate that if the minister’s post is vacant, the Cabinet must present the minister’s candidacy to parliament within 30 days. At the same time, during this period, the powers of the acting head of the ministry are limited.

Let’s remember, the popular deputies approved this bill in the second reading during today’s meeting, 301 deputies voted in favor.

As RBC-Ukraine wrote, in early November the Rada adopted this bill as a basis.

Then, new regions will appear in Ukraine: earlier the parliament adopted as a basis and in general the corresponding resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers.
