This was announced by the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov, writes TASS.

«Ms. Tikhanovskaya is not in Belarus, it can hardly be said that she participates in any way in the life of Belarus. No contacts are planned, ”he said.

Peskov added that Tikhanovskaya is on the territory of the European Union and “meets with various heads of state and government, who in turn consider the incumbent head of Belarus illegitimate.”

On September 29, the Belarusian opposition leader met in Lithuania with French President Emmanuel Macron, and on October 6 she held talks with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Before that, he said that he would like to meet with Putin to understand why he supports Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko.

Presidential elections were held in Belarus on August 9, immediately after which mass protests and strikes began across the country. The protests against Lukashenka’s false victory have been going on for almost two months. Belarusians are demanding new and fair elections and the release of political prisoners.

Svetlana Tikhanovskaya was forced to leave for Lithuania. The peaceful protests were accompanied by bloody attacks by security agents controlled by Lukashenka. OMON fighters used water cannons, rubber bullets, tear gas and stun grenades against the civilian population.

During the crackdown on anti-government demonstrations, at least four protesters were killed. Thousands of people were arrested.

In the first week of protests, Lukashenka and Putin called three times. During one of the talks, the dictator agreed with Putin that Russia will provide assistance to the first request. «to ensure safety ”in Belarus. Putin said that at Lukashenko’s request, he created a pool of law enforcement officers to send them to Belarus.

On September 23, Alexander Lukashenko was sworn in as President of Belarus for a new term. The opening ceremony was held in secret.
