Peskov reacted to Pompeo’s words about new sanctions against Russia

Washington’s sanctions policy does not have the support of the world community. This was stated by the press secretary of the president of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, when commenting on the words of the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, that the United States intends to impose sanctions against Russia for the alleged poisoning of the Opposition leader Alexei Navalny, Interfax reports Tuesday, September 22.
“As for the general reliance on US sanctions, and it is difficult to call it otherwise, it is well known to everyone, in all countries of the world, and hardly anyone approves of such activities,” Peskov said.

The day before, US President Donald Trump had refused to speak to the press about who might have poisoned Navalny. “We will talk about this at another time,” he told US reporters.
In early September, Trump said the United States still had no evidence of the Navalny poisoning, but promised to investigate the matter.
