The Kerch crossing is closed
After the opening of the Kerch Bridge, the ferry stopped receiving transport orders and is closed.
The Kerch ferry service stopped working due to lack of transport orders, the press service of transport operator AnRussTrans reported on Tuesday, September 29.
“On September 28, the Kerch Ferry ferry made its last journey. New ferry connections between the Crimean peninsula and the mainland of Russia along the Crimean Port – Kavkaz Port route will be stopped indefinitely. The reason for the stop is the lack of demand for transport, “says the message.
It should be noted that after the opening of the Kerch Bridge, the demand for maritime traffic dropped dramatically.
After the stop of the Kerch ferry flights, the work of the Crimean seaport will also stop.
Note that on the eve of the ambassadors of the EU countries agreed on sanctions against Russia for the construction of the Kerch bridge.
