Future Prime Minister of Japan Yoshihide Suga
The post of defense minister of the country will be handed over to the younger brother of former prime minister Shinzo Abe.
The government of Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who resigned due to health problems, also resigned in full on Wednesday, September 16. This was reported by the TASS agency with reference to the prime minister’s press service.
It should be noted that today the country’s parliament will vote for the new head of government, probably the president of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party Yoshihide Sugu, who will announce the names of the new ministers.
At the same time, several heads of government departments will remain in their posts. We are talking about positions such as Minister of Foreign Affairs (it will continue to be for Toshimitsu Motegi), Minister of Finance (Taro Aso), Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and State Tourism (Kazuyoshi Akaba), Minister of Olympic and Paralympic Games (Seiko Hashimoto ), Minister for the restoration of the country’s economy (Yasutoshi Nishimura) and the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan (Hiroshi Kajiyama).
However, the place of Defense Minister Taro Kono will be taken by Nobuo Kishi, the younger brother of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who previously served as Deputy Foreign Minister. Kono, in turn, will be in charge of civil service reforms.
Recall that in Japan, Yoshihide Suga, the secretary general of the Japanese government, won the election of the leader of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party.
