Now the dollar is worth 28.2-28.5 hryvnia
Based on purchasing power parity, the hryvnia’s exchange rate is four times higher than nominal, experts calculated.
In 2020, the exchange rate of the hryvnia per dollar in purchasing power parity is 7.33 UAH per dollar. This is stated in the IMF’s October review of the World Economic Outlook.
According to the fund, the nominal GDP per Ukrainian this year will amount to $ 3,425 thousand, while in purchasing power parity – $ 12,710 thousand.
At the same time, Ukraine’s GDP by the end of the year will amount to 142.25 billion dollars and, at purchasing power parity, 527.9 billion dollars.
In addition, the IMF has updated the forecast for the hryvnia to the dollar until 2025. So, in the coming years, the average annual exchange rate of the hryvnia to the dollar will be:

2020 – 27.20 UAH / dollar (previous forecast – 30.0 UAH / dollar)

2021 – 28.12 UAH / dollar (previous forecast – 28.9 UAH / dollar)

2022 – 27.96 UAH / dollar (previous forecast – 28.6 UAH / dollar)

As reported, the IMF improved its forecast for the decline of the Ukrainian economy in 2020 to 7.2%, which is 1% better than in June.
Earlier, the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers said that there is no reason for the hryvnia to fall before the end of the year and that no serious fluctuations are expected in the currency market.
