Stepanov warned of apocalyptic images in cities and regions
The head of the Ministry of Health, Maxim Stepanov, called on local authorities to comply with the requirements of adaptive quarantine.
Local authorities and citizens must stop being frivolous about the rules to enforce the quarantine, which has become a new reality. This was stated by the Minister of Health, Maxim Stepanov, in a briefing, reported Gordon’s edition on Saturday, September 5.
“There is simply no other way to defeat COVID-19. Either we stick to the rules and then we will defeat it, or we see apocalyptic images in our cities, areas, when our medical institutions cannot provide care, because the number of patients will be such. they will not be able to cope, “Stepanov said.
He urged local authorities to comply with adaptive quarantine requirements.
“I heard from some local authorities that they do not agree and will not comply with the quarantine restrictions. There is a law in Ukraine and they are obliged to comply with the decisions issued by the Commission on Emergency Situations,” the minister said.
As reported, the Ivano-Frankivsk authorities filed a lawsuit with the Kiev District Administrative Court, demanding that the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers to introduce the city into the “red” quarantine zone be declared illegal.
