OTG chief says deputies originally sang Ukraine’s anthem and there is video evidence
The president-elect commented on the scandalous video in which the deputies, taking the oath, sing the Hungarian national anthem. He called the video a provocation and said that at first the Ukraine anthem was playing in the room.
Syurt Rural United Territorial Community President Arpad Pushkar called the video posted on Facebook a provocation, in which newly elected MPs sing the Hungarian anthem in their first session on November 21, UNIAN writes.
Pushkar said that first the chairman of the territorial electoral commission announced the election results, then the deputies took the oath in Ukrainian, then the Ukrainian anthem sounded in the hall, and only then the Hungarian anthem.
According to him, it was decided to play the national anthem of the neighboring state, since 17 of the 22 deputies are representatives of the Hungarian national minority.
“We consider that the publication of such a video is a provocation. This was done by competitors who also applied for the position of head of the OTG, but did not approve, now they want to create an inter-ethnic conflict,” said Arpad Pushkar. He added that he did not know who would benefit from this provocation, since before in the town everyone lived in peace.
According to the head of the OTG, the fact of the interpretation of the Ukrainian anthem is confirmed by the video made during the session. Also “this can be confirmed by the 22 deputies present in the session that day, members of the executive committee, citizens invited to the session.”
As reported, a video appeared on the network, in which at the entrance to the city of Beregovo a man in camouflage clothing against the background of the symbols of the Right Sector threatens the Transcarpathian Hungarians. The post appeared online after another Transcarpathia video. In it, the deputies of the Rural United Territorial Community of Syurt, after taking the oath, sang the Hungarian anthem. The Transcarpathian police initiated criminal proceedings under Article 161 Part 1 of the Ukrainian Penal Code (incitement to ethnic enmity and hatred).
We also add that the dissatisfied opposition in the Georgian parliament has included the anthem of the USSR.
