The head of the Lugansk Regional State Administration, Sergei Gaidai, spoke out in favor of restoring economic ties with the uncontrolled territory of the region, according to Novosti Donbass.
“I am in favor of restoring economic ties. We will receive continued benefits from this. We lost around two billion hryvnia a year. How much have we lost over the years? Let’s say 8 billion hryvnia. How many roads could we do? ? … For example, the construction of the regional hospital costs 5 billion hryvnias, “Gaidai said.
The governor described the breakdown of economic ties with the uncontrolled territories as “political speculation.”
The head of the region also pointed out that the economic blockade caused the “washing” of the hryvnia from the uncontrolled territory.
“The hryvnia is no longer used there, there are still dollars and rubles. The hryvnia also has a certain link with Ukraine,” Gaidai stressed.
We recall that earlier the deputy head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Trilateral Contact Group on Donbass, Vitold Fokin, in an interview with one of the publications, said that he allows a full amnesty for separatists in Donbass, as well as a special status for the entire territory of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
