Tupitsky discussed with diplomats the activities of the Constitutional Court
The meeting took place the same day that the judges declared the criminal responsibility for inaccurate declaration unconstitutional.
The heads of the diplomatic missions of the United States, the EU and Japan in Ukraine, Kristina Kvin, Matti Maasikaas and Takashi Kurai, met on Tuesday 27 October with the president of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, Oleksandr Tupitsky. This was reported by the KSU press service on Facebook.
It should be noted that the meeting took place on the same day that the magistrates of the Constitutional Court behind closed doors declared criminal responsibility for inaccurate declaration unconstitutional.
“We discussed a number of issues of mutual concern, including the importance of transparency and maintaining the heights achieved after the 2014 Revolution of Dignity,” he wrote Maasikaas on Twitter.
The US Embassy posted a similar message on its Facebook page.
At the same time, the Constitutional Court said that Tupitsky discussed with diplomats the activities of the Constitutional Court in the aspect of compliance with the constitutional norms and principles of the objective of creation and tasks of the system of anti-corruption bodies.
As reported, the Office of the President said that Volodymyr Zelenskyy will definitely use his right to legislative initiative in order to restore responsibility for violations in the electronic income declaration of officials.
At the same time, the Verkhovna Rada warned that the decision made by the Constitutional Court of Ukraine threatens Ukraine with a grand international scandal.
