The general director of the channel “112 Ukraine” Artem Marchevsky is running for the Verkhovna Rada of the “Opposition platform – For life”. In his opinion, he has no conflict of interest due to his work on the channel and the activities of the party.

The Opposition Platform Party – For Life has nominated the general producer of Ukraine’s 112 television channel Artem Marchevsky as a candidate for the midterm elections in the Verkhovna Rada in the 50th electoral district of the Donetsk region. This is stated in the party’s statement on February 4.

The political force pointed out that Marchevsky is the head of the youth wing of the HLE.

In a comment to Novosti Donbass, Marchevsky confirmed that he was still working as general producer for 112 Ukraine. When asked if he sees a conflict of interest in the combination of party activity and work as a media manager, Marchevsky replied that, in his opinion, there can be no conflict of interest here.

“Our journalists participate in the life of the population 24 hours a day, help neighbors cover problems throughout the country and monitor the activities of local authorities. If this can be called a conflict of interest, so be it, “he said.

The by-elections to the parliament in the 50th constituency will be held on March 28, 2021. They are being held because Ruslan Trebushkin resigned from his deputy mandate after being elected mayor of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region.

Marchevsky became the general producer of television channel 112 Ukraine in 2018. He too co-founder of the company “GOST-media”, dedicated to the creation of commercials, clips and television projects. Before GOST-media, the general producer of 112 Ukraine worked at the ZIK TV channel. From March 2013 to November 2014, he worked at the TelePro company. Before that, he collaborated with “1 + 1 Production”.
