“The game with Ghent is the most important game for the Dynamo in the last 4-5 years”

– On the one hand it was nice that the times when the Dynamo easily beat their rivals are back, on the other hand the lack of intrigue does not contribute to the show. To what extent were you able to implement the plans in terms of providing game practice to the players before the main next matches? And what is the situation of the injured?

– It is always difficult to go back to the championship after European Cup matches. A super motivated team played against us, and during the preparation for the fight I drew the attention of the players to this. The guys were a bit relaxed, but I tried to keep them in good shape so we wouldn’t have any problems.

The game was under our control. Naturally, the elimination of the opponent worked in our favor. Although we were not in a hurry with the goals scored, in the end it was all decided on the soccer field. It was clear that the players had the next game with Ghent in mind, as this is the most important game for the club in the last four or five years.

In terms of rotation, I try to keep the players on the same level of preparation and motivation, so that everyone is ready for the games. Of course, there is a difference between the players who started training with me and those who joined a little later.

As for the injured, I expect Popov to return to the general group on Monday, and next week Tymchik will start doing individual running exercises. You know Burda yourself, he was away for a long time.

– Yesterday he had a strong bruise in training and I decided not to risk it, to give him a break. Tomorrow she will train in the general group.

– In the game against Ghent, it was in a rather cold rain. How you feel?

– It took them three days to recover (smiles). The most important thing is that the players do not get sick. I had a bit of a cold, but the doctor is in control of the situation, so I feel better.

– Buli informs that Duelund and Sol will leave the team, but today you gave them a chance. How would you rate your game?

– Probably the press knows better than I what is happening in the team. The problem is that they were not available to me at the beginning and during the training process, so I did not have time to understand what they could give the Dynamo in the future. We have a lot of players and this is a pretty difficult situation. Now there will be a game with “Gent”, after which we will see what to do next. I never kick the players out. But when there are between 27 and 28 people in training, it is very difficult. However, I try to change the drills to make it interesting for the players to train. Those guys who want to stay on the team and resist the competition naturally stick around. Those who want to play constantly, which I cannot guarantee, leave.

I know that the Ukrainian and Romanian press wrote about my conversation with Kravets, which is not true. He came to the Dynamo but then saw that there was a lot of competition and having received a good offer from Turkey, he decided to go back there. Therefore, we shook hands and parted in the same way. The same situation with Alibekov, who wanted to be closer to his family, and I gave the go-ahead for his transfer.

It is very important that the coach understands the player. I never hindered a player who wanted to leave, I did not close doors to anyone. A footballer’s career is very short, seven to eight years at a high level, so I don’t want to prevent anyone from continuing their career elsewhere.
