The first snow in the Carpathians in autumn
On October 14, the first snow fell in Ukraine. The precipitation took place in the Carpathians, as predicted by meteorologists. On Pip Ivan Mountain, a white canopy is already in full swing, and the air temperature in the mountains is -4 degrees below zero. This was reported on the Facebook page of the Chornogorsk search and rescue post.
“At 08:25 on 14.10.2020 in the cloudy Montenegrin town of Pop Ivan, visibility is limited to 50 m. West wind 19-20 m / s. Air temperature -4 ° C,” they wrote on the page .
Note that the snow fell on the great Orthodox feast of the Intercession of the Most Holy Theotokos. It is believed that fall meets winter on this day, and from that day on it really starts to get colder.
By the way, the national forecaster Natalka Didenko, in her forecast, reported on the snow and cold snap in the Carpathians.

In the comments, the Ukrainians reacted to the first snowfall in the country.
- Everyone, hello winter. Time to buy snowshoes.
- Oh, it’s good that we don’t risk going.
- Well everything! Hello winter.
- Here came, to the Shroud itself, the beauty of winter! Good class!
We recall, earlier we wrote that meteorologists announced the end of the “Indian summer” and warned of a cold snap.
They also talked about a real storm approaching Ukraine.
