At CES 2020 earlier this year, Hisense introduced the world’s first smartphone with a color screen in electronic ink. Today, the company confirmed that the smartphone will launch in China on April 23 during the China Digital Cloud 2020 conference.
The main feature of the device is the E Ink color screen. Color electronic color displays have been featured in e-books for a long time, but this is the first time in the smartphone industry.
Hisense also claims that the new E Ink color displays have a higher refresh rate than previous-generation displays, making them look and feel better. The screen will show 4096 colors, long reading will not harm your eyes, because the screen does not emit light. For use at night, the smartphone has a front heat source that will illuminate the screen evenly. In addition, the screen has a low power consumption.
Hisense will partner with Jingdong Reading, Palm Reading, QQ Reading, Migu Reading, People Reading, and other major platforms to offer users as much content as possible.
As for the capabilities of the device as a smartphone, they will be discussed on April 23.
