Ukraine and North Macedonia are connected by regular flights
The first direct flight between the two capitals was operated by Windrose. Representatives of Ukrainian travel companies came to North Macedonia.
The first direct flight from the capital of Ukraine to the capital of North Macedonia took place on Sunday, December 6. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine on Facebook.
“We are expanding travel freedom for Ukrainians. Ukraine and North Macedonia last year signed a visa-free regime. And today, for the first time in history, a direct flight from Kiev-Skopje flew. From now on, our countries they are connected by regular flights. This is the development not only of tourism, but also of contacts between Ukraine and Macedonia. ” – said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmitry Kuleba.
In turn, the Ambassador of Ukraine in North Macedonia, Natalia Zadorozhnyuk, welcomed the positive trend in the development of bilateral economic cooperation.
“Despite the difficult year associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, already in 9 months of 2020 we are reaching more indicators than in all of 2019. In 2020, we expect the highest rate of trade between Ukraine and Macedonia in the last 8 years” said the diplomat.
According to the press service, the first direct flight between the two capitals was operated by Windrose. On this flight, representatives of travel companies from Ukraine arrived in North Macedonia.
As reported, in late November, Ukraine’s ambassador to Great Britain, Vadim Prystaiko, signed an agreement on a visa-free regime with the Caribbean country of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
