According to the preliminary version, the cause of the fires in the Lugansk region may be caused by the militants. This is indicated by the nature of the spread of fire.

This is stated in the message from the headquarters of the Joint Forces Operation (JF) on Facebook.

Nearly 600 personnel and 84 units of engineering and automotive equipment from units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service and other defense forces of the complex were reportedly involved in fighting the fires.

“The nature of the occurrence of the combustion epicenters and the spread of the fire, according to preliminary estimates, indicates an arson on the part of the enemy,” the headquarters said.
