Sergei Zhuravel, father of the sergeant of the 35th Independent Marine Brigade Yaroslav Zhuravel, who died in the Donbas, said that by decision of the Pechersk District Court, the State Investigation Office should open criminal proceedings on the possible inactivity of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
The Kiev Pechersk District Court, following the lawsuit of Sergei Zhuravl, father of Sergeant of the 35th Separate Marine Corps Brigade Yaroslav Zhuravl, who died in Donbas, ordered the State Investigation Office to open a process criminal against Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. Sergei Zhuravel reported this to Radio Svoboda on December 22.
The man accuses the president of inaction, leading to the death of his son.
Previously, he applied to the RRB and the Attorney General’s Office, but, as Zhuravel said, he received a formal response from both departments.
After that, he filed claims with the Kiev Pechersky and Shevchenkovsky district courts.
“The Pechersky District Court has already made a decision, Shevchenkovsky has not yet. The court’s decision is binding. Your text has already been received, and my confidant sent it to the RRB. There should be a reaction in 10-12 days,” Zhuravel said.
In a statement addressed to the Attorney General of Ukraine, Irina Venediktova, she requested to initiate criminal proceedings against Zelensky under Part 4 of art. 426 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (excess of power and authority on the part of a military officer).
Zhuravel claimed that Zelensky ordered Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Ruslan Khomchak “to prohibit the participation of special forces personnel for further search and rescue activities” in the Joint Forces area of operations, the statement said. In compliance with this order, the Ukrainian army did not carry out search and rescue measures; The wounded Sergeant Zhuravel remained in the gray zone without assistance and died of blood loss between July 14 and 16, he stressed.
On July 13, in the Zaitsevo area of the Donetsk region, Dmitry Krasnogrud, an officer from the 35th Marine Corps Separate Brigade, was fatally injured during a combat mission as a result of an explosion in an unknown explosive device.
That same day, the Ukrainian side agreed with the militants to evacuate the body of the deceased and declare a regime of silence. But when a group in white helmets with identification markings approached the officer’s body, the militants opened fire on her initially small arms, and then grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns.
As the commander of the 35th Marine Corps Separate Brigade Nikolai Palace said, the first in the group was Recon Platoon Sergeant Zhuravel, who took fire and was wounded. A military medic and one of the scouts tried to help the wounded sergeant, who was crawling toward the group. At the same time, the militants continued firing, as a result of which the doctor Nikolai Ilin was killed at the scene and the intelligence officer was hit by a bullet. He was evacuated by the officers of the engineering group.
The body of the military doctor was handed over to the Armed Forces of Ukraine on July 17. He was buried in Kiev on July 22.
On July 18, “DPR” militants announced that they had found Crane’s body. The representative of the “DPR” pointed out that the situation in the place where the soldier was found suggests that he did not die immediately and tried to communicate with the command by radiocommunication.
