The expert said how much bread will go up in price

The price of bread and bakery products in Ukraine may begin to “grow” in January next year, the expert said.

The cost of bread and bakery products will increase in the near future. Ruslan Slasten, General Director of the Association “Ukrainian Agricultural Business Club”, said this on Sunday, December 27, on the air of channel Ukraine 24.

“The rise in the prices of wheat and, consequently, of flour as a component has already played a role, and in the future it will not affect the growth of the cost of bread. It is very possible that in January, due to the rise in cost of public utility bills, as well as an increase in the minimum wage, the cost of bread, but in the region up to 5% ”, he said.

In addition, the expert calculated the estimated average cost of bread in the month of January.

“The cost of chained wheat bread may well be at the level of 20-24 UAH per kilogram. An increase of 5% means an additional 1-1.5 UAH in the cost of this bread,” Slasten said.

We will recall, earlier Duchenko said that the increase in the cost of wheat, the increase in prices of sugar, sunflower oil, as well as the devaluation of the hryvnia can lead to an increase in the price of bread in Ukraine.
