Ukrainians are actively buying currencies

Average buying / selling rates for cash dollars at banks increased during the week to 28.37 UAH / 28.57 / USD.

During the next working week, a moderate rise in the dollar is expected against the hryvnia. The cash dollar in banks can be traded at the level of 28.5 / 28.7 hryvnia, and in the interbank market – about 28.6 hryvnia. This forecast was expressed by a senior analyst at Alpari Vadim Iosub, reports RBC-Ukraine on Sunday, November 29.

He noted that the Ministry of Finance has successfully completed negotiations with the IMF on the main parameters of the state budget project for 2021.

“This was one of the main prerequisites for starting the first review of the Stand-by program, determining the date of the visit of the IMF Europe Department mission to Ukraine and receiving the next tranche. We are talking about reducing the budget deficit in 2021 from 6% to 5.5% of GDP, or 24 billion hryvnia, “- he added.

This week, the dollar against the hryvnia rose moderately in all segments of the foreign exchange market between 0.3% and 0.7%.

So, from Friday to Friday, the official US dollar rate set by the NBU increased from UAH 28.26 to UAH 28.44 (+ 0.7%). The supply / demand of the dollar in the interbank market during the same time increased from 28.31 / 28.33 to 28.52 / 28.54 (+ 0.7%). Average rates of buying / selling dollars in cash at banks increased during the week from 28.26 / 28.49 to 28.37 / 28.57 (+ 0.4% / + 0.3%).

At the same time, the spread between the average sale and the average purchase decreased from 0.8% to 0.7% due to the faster growth of the purchase rate compared to the sale.

As a reminder, on November 30, the National Bank set the official rate at 28.46 UAH per dollar. Thus, the official rate grows for the eighth consecutive day.

It was also reported that the NBU has not intervened in the interbank market for three weeks. At the same time, since the beginning of the year, the regulator bought currency for $ 4.55 billion and sold it for $ 3.8 billion.
